clear in u**x plattforms clears the screen like 'cls' in MS-DOS u/COMMAND.COM.
Some incarnations of bash had 'clear' implemented (one of them by a very
circuitous way indeed!).
OTOH, just typing 'cls' won't cut. One would need to have or a script
(perhaps calling command /c) or a batch file to have 'cls' issued by command.
