I program both under Linux and MS-DOS with djgpp and I found a patch that allows GCC 2.7.2 to optimize code to take advantage of the Pentium's superscalar architecture. I installed the patch on Linux and the performance improvement for most of my programs was quite dramatic. Is a similar patch available for djgpp, or if not, what modifications do I have to make for the patch to make it work with the djgpp GCC sources? I wouldn't want to download as much as eight megabytes just to find that I can't make the patch work. Any help would be appreciated. --- Rafael R. Sevilla dido AT eee DOT upd DOT edu DOT ph
