Right, and that's why we use Linux, and thats why we want it to be
simpler.  More people would use Linux if it were simpler.  Personally,
I don't care if anyone else uses Linux at all, but the more that do,
then the more programs there will be, and the more PROGRAMMERS there
will be.

Right.  Joe user want's to click a mouse button to configure things.
There is nothing wrong with this.  The easier things are to setup, the
more people will be considering using Linux.  Sure, there will still
be diehards that want to edit sendmail.cf in a hex editor (or even
worse 'vi')  :o) but MOST people will use a control panel for the GOOD
things that it does.  It is doubtful that such a program could
configure EVERYTHING, but it would be a great aide to repetitive
configuration tasks.  That is what unix is all about, simplifying
repetitive tasks, or complicated tasks by using existing programs, or
writing new ones.
