I know this is not the correct group for this question, but this is
one of the most helpful groups that I have encountered so I figured
that someone here might be able to help me. I have recently installed
Linux on my system, but X will not reconise my video card...(I had a
similar problem with some of the allegro test programs.) I have an
ACER PV100 video card with a M3145 chip set and a Chrontel clock chip
(it is a PCI 64-bit w/ 1MB ram card.) It comes with drivers for
windows (upto and including 95 and NT) and dos and some old dos apps.
I have search the net over for some info (or drivers) for this board
to work on linux (I need X to use some GUI devleopment programs).
Does anyone know anything about this board (like if it is equivalent
to anyother popluar brand boards so that I can make it use all of its
potental (or at least most of it) in Linux and Allegro)? BTW I asked
this question in the liux groups and no one responded (that is why I
am asking here.) Thanks, Daniel Boyer
