Following Eli's advice, I merged pmodstub.exe with the executable and that works fine: the result can call just about any darn program and survive ( my program is a DOS shell + editor + modplayer + program launcher but no, it's not the greatest thing since Win95 :) The only exceptions I came across were some demos using wierd homegrown extenders. Thanks to Eli,John Aldritch & all the others who replied on this. E.
