I am using DJGPP for DOS (under DOS 6.21) and like it very much.
However, being the imperfect programmer that I am, I rarely get clean
compiles the first time and it is not uncommon for me to get more than
one screen's worth of compiler messages. Thus, I have a need to put the
diagnostic messages in a DOS file so I can scroll back and forth and
peruse them at my leisure.
I have tried every way I know to redirect the compiler diagnostic
messages to a file; e.g.,
gcc test.c -o test.exe >test.lst,
gcc test.c -o test.exe 2>test.lst,
etc.,
but all my redirection efforts seem to be ignored; the output still
comes back to the screen.
I looked for a fair amount of time at the DJGPP documention and couldn't
see any compiler options, etc., that might address how to do this.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
