prins AT quark DOT cs DOT sun DOT ac DOT za (Walter Prins) was overheard mumbling
incoherently about Long filenames in DJGPP - writing to files:

if LFN is set to Y (either with the dos set command or djgpp.env),
then yes. This is disabled by default because in v2.00, certain
programs (make and info) didn't work right with lfn=y. Have these
bugs been fixed in 2.01?
