A commercial program might help, but if it were me, I'd just download
F-Protect, which is a free-for-individual-use virus protector, scanner,
and remover. I used it to clean out my college computer lab, which had
about three different viruses, one of them (Stoned-Monkey) on all the
computers. This lab had been foolishly depending on a commercial,
store-bought virus package, which is silly unless you're willing to buy a
new antivirus every month.
F-Prot is updated every month, and I depend on it. Scan, the few times
I've downloaded it (I just wanted a second opinion) agrees with it in
giving my system a clean bill of health.
