I've tried to load the sample WAV files (which had a SND extension for
some reason) from the Allegro example directories. None of them loaded
in any of my windows or dos WAV editors/players. I also tried to get the
sample Allegro WAV players to play some WAV files that I had. Again,
no luck.
So the question is, what format does Allegro read? Although the docs say
WAV, are they really wav? (Examaning the headers, one can see the true
windows wav filse are *similar* to Allegro ones, but not identical).
Perhaps Alegro reads some old version WAV files? Does anyone have
a new->old converter? Is there are newer version of Alegro out there
(I currently have 2.1)?
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
