Hi,
I'm trying to setup a timer interrupt in DJGPP, and with func/variable
locking, rm-pm passing, etc, it isn't as simple as it used to be.. :(
This is the ONLY bad thing I've encountered with protected mode. (Well,
the func/variable locking is a djgpp thing, not a pmode thing)
Anyhow, needless to say I'm having difficulties. I tried looking at the
keyboard handler I'm using to get ideas, but it's all in a .S file and I
need to run c code/variables in the int (all AI, object interaction, etc
will be handled in the int (yes, it's a game)). So, I tried looking at
Allegro, however, the timer there is so integrated and customized for
Allegro and multiple timers and such that there's no simple way to sort
out what's what and/or use that timer module.
If someone has a simple, straightforward approach, I'd appreciate any
help/comments. If you are going to email a response, please send it to
vecna AT shell DOT inlink DOT com, not this address. Thanks,
