I have recently aquired an old PC to learn C programming with DJGPP. Having
the hard dirve previously partioned, DJGPP (on th d: partition) does not
recognise the Windows server on C:. I have downloaded the free dpmi server
from a simtel site but I have to run this every time I require INFO or GCC
commands to work. Could someone point me in the right durection as I am reto
learning DOS. -- Andrew Lowcock
If you put CWSDPMI in the DJGPP bin directory and place this directory into
your path then DJGPP programs will find it when they need it. Also the
Windows DPMI service is only available from within Windows, like when you
run a program from a DOS box command line or from the RUN manu choice on the
file menu in Windows. BTW you can run CWSDPMI from your autoexec.bat to
provide DPMI services to other, non-DJGPP, programs if you have no other DPMI
memory manager available.
