Did you read Chapter 12 of the DJGPP FAQ list?  It discusses some common 
problems with using GDB (and other debuggers) with DJGPP.  The latest 
release of the FAQ is available as v2/faq201b.zip from the same place you 
get DJGPP.

If the info in the FAQ doesn't help, please post the commands that you 
use and the messages GDB prints.
