Hi all ... Does anyone know whether GCC can be convinced to create a DOS format .MAP file? If it could then other debuggers could be used for providing source-level debugging. Soft-ICE is a stellar debugger -- available both for DOS and Windows 3.1 and Win95 ... but it needs a .MAP file with line-number info in order to handle source-code debug. So ... is there ANY WAY (even using some sort of converter utility) to get a .MAP file out of GCC ????? Thanks a mill! -- Steve Gibson Gibson Research steve AT grc DOT com
