Did you have a DPMI-Server installed ? If not or if you dont know:

  - get cwsdpmi from the site where you got djgpp (v2misc directory I
think) and put it somewhere in your path (preferably the djgpp/bin
directory)

  OR

  - run the programs in a Windows DOS box
