GCC has a switch (-x c++) to force C++ compilation regardless of the file
extension.  You can find more info about that in section 8.3 of the DJGPP
FAQ list (which you should read anyway, being a new user of DJGPP).  The
FAQ is available as v2/faq200b.zip from the same place you get DJGPP.
