You can't use just "make" to build libc.a. You must use "rmake", a
program that is provided with DJGPP for that purpose. It runs around
to all the directories and builds all the objects, and *then* calls
make.
If you use make directly, it won't know how to build the objects and
will default to its built-in rules.
