Ok, thanks everyone for the help about Interrupts.  

But I still have one question about dpmi_int.  Can you retreive registers 
after you make the call..

ex...

__dpmi_regs regs;

regs.x.ax = 0x0f00
__dpmi_int(0x10, &regs)
w_mode = regs.x.ax       <--- Will this work.
