Just my $0.02:
1) I'm not aware of any software that doesn't have bugs. In fact
one of the definitions of software is just that: ``lines of code with
bugs''. Corollary: if you wait for bug-free software, you'll wait
forever.
2) People don't usually post ``no-bug reports'', hence the
impression that v2 has too many bugs to be fit for production work. In
fact, v2 is stable enough for commercial applications to be developed
with it.
3) v2.0 has less bugs than v1.12maint4, and what's more
important, if you find a bug in v2.0, you have a good chance of having it
identified and corrected in a matter of days, whereas with v1.x, you're
on your own.
So don't hesitate to upgrade.
P.S. An automatic bug-tracking system is at
http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/beta/bugs/, but don't count on it to list
all the bugs that are known, because most people don't bother reporting
the bugs there (which is a pity).
P.P.S. Some of the bugs for which solutions were posted to c.o.m.d.,
should be corrected in the latest uploads to SimTel. Be sure to download
them.
