In hindsight, my question about where to find sed, chmod, etc., looks
pretty silly -- they're available at the same place that I found
djgpp:

oak.oakland.edu, directories /SimTel/vendors/gnu and /SimTel/vendors/djgpp

I'm still looking for a copy of the Desqview/X-compatible source for
Mosaic so that I can fix the bugs in it...
