There is a program called UniBase (netsearch for it) which is currently a C++
wrapper for Windows95/NT socket programming. I'm programming it to UNIX (Linux/SGI)
right now, and it should be available in a few days... the next step will be to
port it to Macintosh, and of course MS-DOS. Please get back to me if you have
WATTCP or something similar working for DJGPP, especially if you are interested
in porting UniBase. This is really a great program because it provides an iostreams
type of interface to the sockets which is completely transparent and multiplatform
independent... you can port your program AS IS between any of the platforms!
