Unless you are doing something strange, CS base = DS base = ES base, etc in DJGPP, so if you write to the same offset using DS as you normally might with CS, it should work. Selector modification isn't allowed by GO32, only by DPMI. So get the DPMI specification and run under DPMI if this is needed.
