Then read section 6.3 in the DJGPP FAQ list. It describes similar
problems with gcc 2.6.0 and suggests a method of hunting down the code
fragment which causes this.

That's OK, but please keep in mind that the bug in GCC 2.7.1 which causes
this isn't necessarily corrected in 2.7.2. It might be just an error in
your source (which shouldn't crash the compiler, of course).
