Thanx to everyone who replied to this... I've managed to get the
thing working, under v1.11m4 - works great so far {=^)
Anyways, I've a few more questions about it (I hope a port from
another compiler to get DJGPP working under Windoze is still on-topic
for this mailing list =)
Will it work under v2b4 ? If so, what do I need to do ?
Are there any problems with v1.11m4 under windows ? I mean, hasn't a lot of
work been done on the wrapper-code (cwsdmpi, crt0, etc.) since
then ?
What files do I need to distribute with the windows exe's ? Do I
still need go32 at all ?
I don't have RC.exe, so does anyone know if there are any PD resource
compilers or another way to change the built-in Icon ?
What about creating help files ? Are there any PD programs for
creating them which don't rely on MS/Borland tools to make the final
help file ?
Also, is there any way to change the message that is printed when the
exes are run under DOS (the one that says "this is a 16-bit windows
program" or something) ? I'd like something a bit more
user-friendly - like "This program must be run from within
MS-Windows - please see the documentation for more details").
Oh, and the programs are actually 32-bit code in a 16-bit wrapper,
aren't they ? Does this mean they need Win32s/NT/<whatever =)>, or
does RSXWDK contain it's own implementation of Win32s - I guess
that's what all the new libs are ?
Oh, and there's no math lib - do I just use all the original libs
when there's no replacement lib ?
And finally... (probably should have been first) - is there a FAQ for
RSXWDK ?
-------
end of questions =)
I asked about sources of Windows API docs in my original mailing -
just in case anyone's interested - there's a pretty neat FAQ at:
http://www.kudonet.com/~ixfwin/winprog_faqs/wpw_wapi_index.html#TOC
Thanx again, everyone...
Lee.
