Subject:	GPF in 1.12m4 under Windows95

I have searched the FAQ and mail archives, but I haven't
seen a description or a fix for the problem I seem to be
having.  I downloaded all of the files I think I need
to run 1.12 maint4

When I run TRYIT, I get a general protection fault in
the linker "ld" step.  I'm running everything in a DOS
box under Windows95.

As I have read various files, I notice that I did not
run the maintenance release BAT files.  I just unzipped
them in order, overwriting older files.  I don't see how
this could affect my situation, but I thought I would
mention it.
