There are three things that come to mind:

1.  Use the .cc extension for C++ programs.

2.  Use gcc, not the individual compilers.  gcc will take care of all 
    the assembling and linking for you

3.  Make sure you link in the right libraries, and put them in the 
    correct place on the command line.

    It should look something like this:

        gcc myprog1.cc myprog2.cc myprog3.cc -lgpp -o myprog
