I get an error message "info.exe : dir : file not found" whether I type info
at the home directory prompt or another prompt. I don't get this message
with other files in the home dir (bin).
I followed DJD's suggestion as I understood it, but I now feel the problem is
above. I typed the command dtou dir at the directory prompt of every dir
with a "dir" file, without visible result.
I might be lost without respondents like yourself. Out of gratitude, I'm
sending a modest donation to FSF.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Run dtou on info/dir (or docs/dir or docs/djgpp/dir or wherever you
find it).
