The only thing I can think of is that the setup for gccpsx (a gcc crosscompiler) interfered with djgcc, although normally it simply refuses to compile till I alter the setup. (Although this being the PC maybe the phase of the moon had more to do with it...:) With the speed problem vanished, Brief emulation is fairly good so I'm fairly happy to recommend jed. -- Paul Shirley: too lazy to change this sig.
