The FAQ (faq102.zip) has this to say on that issue:

21.3  Q: It seems the expected release date for v2.0 keeps slipping.  It
         was originally the 1Q95, then 2Q95, now it's 3Q95...  Can't you
         guys give a firm date?
      A: (DJ Delorie, <dj AT delorie DOT com>):  If you want a firm date, send
         money ;-) (to DJ, not to me--EZ).

Actually, now that release date would be even farther away, because DJ 
wrote a week ago he has lost his disk, which will delay v2.0 development. 
But if you are in a hurry, you can use the latest beta, it's quite stable 
IMHO.
