Announcing an online listproc-managed discussion group for GNAT
---------------------------------------------------------------
As promised a few weeks ago, The George Washington University
School of Engineering and Applied Science Computing Facility
(GWU-SEASCF) will host a listproc discussion group for
general GNAT discussions and questions.
This list has been created in response to a number of requests.
We hope that it will fill the need for specific GNAT chat and
technical matters. I am the owner of the list, but do _not_
expect to be answering all the questions; indeed, the idea is that
subscribers will help each other.
The list is intended mainly for GNAT users who are not supported by
contracts with Ada Core Technologies. I thank that some members of the
ACT GNAT team plan to subscribe, and may respond now and then, but
you should not count on this, as ACT's first priority is to its
paying customers.
This is an open, un-moderated subscriber list; you must subscribe
to participate. To subscribe, send an e-mail message to:
listproc AT seas DOT gwu DOT edu
with an empty subject line and the two-line message
subscribe gnatlist your_first_name your_last_name
help
You will then receive two return messages from listproc - a confirmation
of your subscription and a help file giving listproc commands.
Once you are subscribed, to send messages to the group, send e-mail to
gnatlist AT seas DOT gwu DOT edu
In your subject lines, try to be as explicit as possible, so GNAT fans
with different areas of exoertise can tell at a glance whether they
should respond. I have no idea at this point how much traffic the
list will generate, but hope that subscribers will stick to the subject.:-)
Enjoy the list.
