Subject:	EMACS??

What is EMACS?? Is it just an editor or a complete programming 
language.  If its a language, is it 32bit, DPMI, support DLL (or DXE), 
does it come with or have available graphics libraries and especially 
a MOD player. (I'm gearing up to make a tile-based world adventure 
game and would really like to do it in protected mode.  DJGPP seems to 
have all that I need, except and IDE.)
