I have noted that use of -O or -O2 in v2b2 > causes the compilation to abort with an error. Do you get register and traceback information on the screen? If so, symify it and post it so the cause can be identified. Try zeroing the sbrk() memory by including v2's crt0.h and setting the appropriate flag - this is a common application bug v2 turfs up.
