I had a similar problem - is your sound card a real Creative Labs SB?
You should be able to change the code in sbdriver.c to use the low speed
dma (like for the SB1.5) for the SB2.0 (dsp id = 2.1). This worked for
me with my Zoltix "SB2.0".
You may(?) also be able to force the detection routine to see a SB1.5
using the T?? (try 2 or 3?) env variable on your set blaster=... line.

This was a problem with getting interrupts during an interrupt I think.
Try getting the latest version (xlibdj24.zip - just uploaded a couple
of days ago) from ftp.delorie.com or x2ftp.oulu.fi, it should work better.
