Are you using DJGPP version 1? or version 2? under version 1, using the libgrx
version 1, your graphics programs will only work in non-dpmi mode..
As it maps everything to a certain range.. 0xd0000000
Using dpmi, (which all the new things are now doing) you must address
linear memory 0xa0000 using the dos conventional memory selector...
(and do all banking of svga modes yourself..)
