Don't know about your strip problems, but as to the PC rebooting: If somthings goes seriously wrong with the CPU (bad GDT or IDT, triple fault etc), the CPU shuts down. When the CPU shuts down, it asserts an external signal which is generally connected to the reset line, thus the reboot. One posibility: don't use CALL, is't for calling batch files rather than binaries. Hope this helps
