The gnu.gcc.* newsgroups have had a lot of messages about 2.7.0.  I've
myself submitted diffs against it already.  Most likely, I will wait
for 2.7.1 before using it officially.

You need to modify the files in config/msdos to compensate for changes
in Makefile.in.  Those were the patches I sent in.
