_go32_conventional_mem_selector() is a reference to the _go32_info_block.selector_for_linear_memory value, which does not change once initialized at this time. I don't guarantee that it won't change in the future, though. You should use _go32_info_block.selector_for_linear_memory if you want faster access; it's still a single memory reference and if the value should change, you would automatically get the new value.
