You're on the wrong list, try crossgcc. Anyway, the brief answer is to
ftp to ftp.cygnus.com:pub/embedded and grab the crossgcc patch for GCC 2.6.x.
That'll add a decent m68k-coff support for ya. It's an improvement over the
current sources cause they treat the CPU32 like a sun3. This patch fixes
things for embedded use. Then grab libgloss from :pub/rob on the same
machine. There is complete source code for mips, hppa, sparclite, m68k. There
is also the beginnings of a manual "Embed with GNU" in libgloss/doc. Have fun!
