Version numbers between GNU programs and djgpp itself are only loosely
related. This is so that the GNU version numbers match their actual
version numbers. GCC263, therefore, is gcc-2.6.3 from GNU, and BNU252
is binutils-2.5.2. GNU program are usually built with whatever
happens to be the current djgpp at the time, and are only rebuilt if
it is found that the libraries they are built with have errors.
The current version of djgpp itself is 1.12.maint4.
