Yes.  Eric Backus did a port some years back, available at
ftp.math.niu.edu, /pub/msdos/djgpp.stuff/ or someplace like that on
that server.  Tuan Dang more recently did a port, available at the
Academia Sinica server, phi.sinica.edu.tw in /pub/tools/djgpp/.  The
Backus ports may be more reliable with respect to text/binary
considerations, that controversy was never resolved AFAIK.

   Is there any documentation available for djtarx / djtart?

I don't think there are any options, so no documentation is needed
(correct me if I'm wrong, DJ.... :-)
