Disabling QDPMI is as simple as saying ``QDPMI OFF'' at the DOS
prompt. I don't think it's annoying, and I *am* a heavy user of
QEMM and QDPMI.

That's because you, like me and about everybody else in this
business/hobby, have enough physical RAM to never need virtual
memory. Whenever you hit that ceiling, you get an error message
telling there is no memory available.
