Perhaps, but there are valid cases where nothing seems to work. I am
currently trying to unsubscribe from the djgpp list but am becoming
increasingly frustrated. The problem is that I don't know the name
which the list knows me as. For some reason, the "To:" field which is
passed to me by the mail program contains "djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu",
which is not very helpful. I have tried every reasonable combination
which I can think of, but the list server always gives me the same sort
of reply:
'billm AT vaxc DOT cc DOT monash DOT edu DOT au' was NOT FOUND on the 'djgpp' mailing list
'apm233m AT vaxc DOT cc DOT monash DOT oz DOT au' was NOT FOUND on the 'djgpp' mailing list
etc, etc...
Asking the list server for "help" reveals no useful command which would
help me to find the correct address...
help...
Bill
