I am getting them, too. Most likely it is just human error, however.
Those wanting to unsubscribe from the list should do the following:
> To remove yourself from the list, send e-mail to
> listserv AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu:

> Subject:
> delete <e-mail address> djgpp

^^^^^--That's a <Control>-D, I think, and that's no subject
