What do you mean "they are existing" ? There is no function
named open (_open) in libI77.a. There are external references to the
C runtime-library functions _open and _close in libI77.a.
Your link line should look like this:
gcc file.o -lF77 -lI77 -lm -lc
I'm hoping your source code doesn not contain CALL OPEN, CALL CLOSE
from RT-11 Fortran 4 :-)
