This was not the problem. DJ wrote to me suggesting that I run stubedit
on gcc and g032, setting keepmem=0. That did the trick.
I know I applied the maintenance fixes, which were supposed to solve this
problem, but in any case I found the solution.
The djgpp list is great - thank you all for writing privately on this.
