By "it" do you mean compiling the fileutils?
When you say "fairly early version" are you implying there's a
more recent version of sh? I'm using 1.6 now, and I haven't tried 2.0
yet, but I would like to know if there's anything newer.

There's a buncha zoo files at that site, but no sources. Are
there sources anywhere? Can I assume these versions of the utilities
take @response files?
