I've heard rumors that the DPMI agent in Linux's dosemu doesn't quite have enough in it to handle go32 programs, but they're working on it. At least, go32 gives them a run for their money when it comes to testing their stuff, which is good. Due to the way that go32 programs work, if you can run any of them, you should be able to run all of them. "Hello, world" and emacs are equally as complex from the extender point of view. DJ
