getkey() might cause problems with buffers. If you printf and fflush (stdout), you may clear an invisible error situation caused by getkey. Typically, it is dangerous mixing routines from different levels. getkey() is a low level routine, I suppose, while printf is a rather high level one. This may cause trouble with your internal buffers. Martin
