I agree with this point. The gnuplot mailing list is mirrored by a
newsgroup (comp.graphics.gnuplot, I think). Subscribers are encouraged
to use the newsgroup rather than the mailing list, but the mailing list
is still there for those who don't have access to news.
My suggestion for a name is gnu.gcc.djgpp
