    Do you have the GO32 1.11.maint1 release?  There was a problem with the
    original release which caused make to crash under Windows.  Perhaps QEMM
    triggers the same bug.  The maintenance release file is dj111m1.zip.

A possible data point:

I grabed the 1.11.maint1 release and make is still hanging the machine in a
DOS box under Windows.  It's a hard crash, even the mouse cursor doesn't
respond.  This happens even in the degenerate case when there's no makefile
and nothing to make.

Any additional data I can provide?

P.S.  I'm using the current go32 with Demacs under Windows.  I'm smiling ear
to ear.  It's a cheap thrill to watch two emacs sessions running towers of
Hanoi.  :) :) :)
