I have been successfully using Paul G. Fox's `vile' editor.  The current
and previous revs (3.63 and 3.62) contain Turbo/Borland-ism and can't
be compiled with djgpp (or Watcom C for that matter).  But 3.61 works
swimmingly.  The sources can be ftp'd from ftp.cayman.com, you can write
the author at pgf AT cayman DOT com.

With the release of 1.11, it may be possible to compile 3.63.  The
problem was with a video bios call during initialization.  Write if you
want to know when I'm done.  It will be a few days before I get time.
